In March 2010, a group of nine high school students (and three chaperones) embarked on a ten-day volunteer project to Guatemala. We traverlled with the Canadian charitable organization, Developing World Connections. DWC sends volunteers to numerous countries around the world to help those in need. We promoted literacy by providing children with an opportunity to learn how to read and write. Also, we were involved in refurbishing dilapidated buildings.

AUGUST:
The next month Ali and I hosted a car wash and another hot dog sale. A big thanks goes out to all our friends and family that helped out!
